    ( i ) John Moore Howard of Bedford, yeoman Edward Jefferys of Bedford, draper and wife Mary; Emery Eastaff of Bedford, widow; Thomas Bright of Bedfordm carpenter and wife Elizabeth; James Shaw of Woburn, schoolmaster and wife Mary; Ann Howard of Bedford, widow; ( ii ) Thomas Mayes of Bedford, woodman, and wife Ann Paradine; ( iii ) John Pheasant of Bedford, innholder; Thomas Eagles of Bedford, turner; ( iv ) William Watkins of Bedford, coal-merchant. -- a messuage in St Paul's parish, occupier Thomas Eagles; demised by John Howard of Bedford, butcher, deceased, to wife for life, and then to nephew Thomas Howard (since deceased) and then to nephew John Howard and 4 nieces Mary Jeffreys, Emery Eastaff, Paradine Mayes and Elizabeth Bright; but charged with £5 per annum to Ann Howard during life; (Thomas Howard died in lifetime of testator's widow, and his share descended to James Shaw, only child of Ann Shaw, who was the only child of James Howard late of Bedford, innholder, who was brother and heir-at-law of testator ( i ) now convery 5/6 of messuage to ( ii ), in whose occupation it now is (formerly Thomas Eagles, since Margret Howard, widow); the messuage adjacent North that of Richard Sewell in own occupation; and South messuage of John Moore Howard, in occupation self and Ann Slim, widow; Witnesses: Richard Lovesey, Whitley Sale, his clerk. 11 March 1788
