Sends half-yearly account. Shows decrease on the surplus, due to work not anticipated at the start of the year - the public house at the Bedford Station, new barn and gates at Willington Mill, new stable, cart shed and granary at Northill. £1600 to be paid by Mr Brandreth towards the rebuilding of Eames's farm [Houghton Regis]. Considering the amount of work Mr Hacker has in hand for the saw mills, proposes this year to restrict the Woburn and Ampthill repairs to cottages only and let the farms stand over, if possible. In north Beds, proposes to finish Hilton's farm at Oakley and commence Desborough's [at] Thurleigh. At Chenies, must see John Dodd right under his new hiring.
