Letter from Rev Munby regarding the rent for the reading room. Does not think the proposed rent of £5 can be raised and puts alternative option relating to the caretaker as a servant of the Abbey estate. 'Another possible plan would be to adopt the Free Libraries Act under the Parish Council...it would be disadvantageous to you...[as] a considerable portion of the rate must fall on the Abbey property. Alas! Alas! how awkward these things are!'
