  • Scope and Content
Comments about the health of Mrs Anna Maria Yorke; the writer wrote to Harold the apothecary to enquire privately of Sir Henry Halford about her. He considers the disorder a marasmus. He does not recommend a change of air until spring. Mrs Eliot being 'brought ot bed at 6 months - owing to violent spasms - Mr Eliot's fate is certainly a most extraordinary one - yet this event [paper torn]... says must be considered as a happy one, for the child was so large that it had increased to it's full size it must have caused the death of it's mother! The writer received a letter from Mrs Agneta Yorke at Bath recently, but she did not mention it. She wrote only to remind the writer to pay her subscription to Lady Isabella King's society.
