Title
Letter from the Fee Farm Rent Office to Rev Hugh Longuet Higgins
Date free text
22 September 1886
Production date
From: 1886 To: 1886
Scope and Content
Apologies for delay in responding due to the illness of one of the staff. Explains that the fee farm rent for Priory Farm is payable to Mr F A Delme Radcliffe as the fee farm rents were sold by the crown in 1672. 'the alienation attaches to Crown Rents on the change in ownership of the properties & is payable by the successor out of course. The Revd H Higgins does not pay it a second time. As so long overdue we shall be favoured by the amount to Michmas last as per our letter of November £1.14.4 in return.'
