    In the Name of God Amen. I Robert Fells sen(io)r of the Parish of Harlington in the County of Bedford Yeoman being infirme in Body but of a perfect Sound mind and memory praised be God for the Same and calling to mind the uncertaine Estate of this Transitory life and all flesh must yeild unto death when it shall please God to call do make ordaine Institute and ap(p)oint this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following (that is to Say)First and principally I com(m)end my Soule into the hands of Almighty God my maker hopeing through the Merits Death and passion of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my Sins and to Inherit everlasting life and my Body I com(m)it to the Earth from whence it was taken to be decently Buried at the discrecion of my Executrix hereafter named And for the disposing of my Temporal estate which it hath pleased God in his mercy to lend me I give and dispose of the same as followed Imprimis I give devise and bequeath unto my Son John Fells the Sum of thirty pounds of lawfull money of this Realm and the like Sum of thirty pounds I give and bequeath unto my Son Thomas Fells I also give and bequeath unto my Son Edward Fells the like Sum of thirty pounds to be paid unto them one yeare after my decease if they so long shall live and if either of them should happen to die before their legacies by me bequeathed shall becom due and payable and unmarried then the legacy or legacies of the deceased shall goe to the Survivor or Survivors of them share and share alike Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Richard Fells all those my three acres of Arrable Land lyeing dispersally in Hoardfield in the parish of Harlington in the County of Bedford by estimator be they more or less and to his heirs and Assignes for ever Immediately after the death and decease of Elizabeth my now Wife and not before togeth(er) with profits to them belonging which said Arrable Land was bought by me of my Father in Law Richard Carter I also give unto my Son Richard Fells in money one shilling Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Robert Fells All that my Messuage Tenem(ent) or Cottage with all appurtenances to the same belonging or in anywise apertain(ing) Scituate Lyeing and being in upper East End in the Parish of Harlington aforesaid unto him his heirs and Assignes for ever one year after my death and decease. I also give unto him in money one shilling. Item I give unto my Daughter Susan Worsley one shilling. Item I give unto my Daughter Partridge one shilling. Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth Fells the Sum of Fifty pounds of lawfilll money of this Realm to be paid unto her one yeare after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Ann Fells the like Sum of fifty pounds of lawfull money of this Realm to be paid unto her one yeare after my death and decease and my will is that if either of my Daughters that is to say Elizabeth and Ann shall happen to die unmarried before their legacies to them by me bequeathed shall come due and payable from my will is that the legacie of the deceased shall be to the proper use of the Survivors of all my Sons and Daughters equally between them divided share and share alike Item I give and bequeath unto my Loveing Wife Elizabeth Fells all those my two Messuages Tenem(en)nts or Cottages with all the appurtenances to the Same belonging or anywise appertaining scituate lyeing and bein(g) in Harlington in the County of Bedford and And also Eight Acres of arrable Land by estimacon be they more or less lyeing dispersedly in the (illegible) Fields in Harlington aforesaid Foure acres thereof lyeth in a field called Hoardfield the other four lyeth in the West Field on the West side of the Towne during her natural life provided she keepeth herself a Widow And after her death and decease or marriage then I give And bequeath the aforesaid Messuages Tenem(en)ts or Cottages and the Eight acres of Arrable Land unto my Foure Sons (that is to say) Robert Fells, John Fells, Thomas Fells and Edward Fells and to their heirs and Assigns for ever equally between them share and share alike Item all the Rest and Residue of my Substance Goods Cattell and Chattells of what Sort or Kind soever as well reall as personall unrequited I give and bequeath unto my deare and loving Wife Elizabeth Fells whome I doe hereby Authorise nominate and Appoint Sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament and I do hereby make void all former Wills hereunto by me made eyther by word or writing and this is to be taken as my last Will and Testament and non(e) other conteining of two sheets of paper In Witness whereof I the said Robert Fells testator hereof have hereunto Set my hand and Seale this First day of May in the fifth yeare of the Reigne of our Sov(er)eigne Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King defender of the Faith etc. Annogue dom(ini) 1732. Signed Sealed published and declared by him the Said Robert Fells the Testator hereof to be his last will and Testament in the presence of us The marke ref... Elizabeth Roberds William Cadwell William Martin Sen(io)r 20th May 1735 The Exec(utri)x within named was Sworn according to law Before me This Will was Proved the twentieth day of May in the Year of Our Lord 1735 Before the Rev(eren)d & Venerable John Dudley Clerk M.A. Archdeacon of the Archdeaconry of Bedford lawfully appointed and by him approved & allowed of and for the Validity of the said Will lawfully Pronounced and declared And the burthen of the Execution of the said Will is & was committed and granted unto Elizabeth Fells Relict of the dec(ease)d & Sole Executor named in the said Will, being Sworn saving the right of every One.
