Lady Hardwicke has gone to Wimpole. 'She seems as one may naturally suppose out of spirits but says nothing of her sister.' Comments about the alterations and improvements at Wimpole. 'In the new walks my eye can never reconcile itself to the colour of the gravel, it has such an undressed look, as well as a cold one.' Reference to the death of Mr Cocks.
