Bounded on: NW by other part of Langley Piece; SW by premises lately belonging to George Barrett and then to executors of Richard Townrow deceased, formerly part of Langley Piece; NE by messuage and premises formerly of Samuel Barrett and then of William Adams also formerly part of Langley Piece; SE by a roadway separating the property from land belonging to Trustees of the Marquis of Bute let for gardens; (b) Tenement built on (a) which was lately in the occupation of William Gutteridge and then of Sarah Holloway (c) Cottage with outbuilding, stable yard and garden in Langley Road, Luton bounded on: SW by cottage formerly of Benjamin Bennett but then of James Burgess; NW by properties of Thomas Barrett and James Burgess; NE by property of devizees of late James Hopkins; SE by Langley Roadleading from Langley Street to New Town. Premises measuring 88 feet long and 18 feet wide and in occupation of Thomas Cooper. Recites previous events relating to properties (a) and (b): - indenture of conveyance dated 22 January 1857 between John Puddephatt of Luton, innkeeper and James Burgess of Luton, ginger beer manufacturer, in which James Burgess purchased property from John Puddephatt for £100 Recites previous events relating to property (c) - will of William Adams of Luton, baker, dated 29 May 1851 in which after disposing of a property in Park Street, Luton he devised all his real estate to his wife Maria Adams and to Henry Coles Brown as executors to be sold at their discretion with first refusal to be given to his five children; - death of William Adams on 15 April 1853; - grant of probate dated 19 May 1853; - memorandum of Emily Adams, John Adams, William Adams, Henry Adams, and Louisa Maria Adams dated 10 November 1853 relinquishing right of preference in purchase of the properties devised by their father William Adams; - death of Maria Adams on 10 March 1866 at Scarborough (Yorks); - indenture of conveyance dated 29 December 1866 between Henry Coles Brown of Luton corn merchant, and James Burgess of Luton ginger beer manufacturer, in which James Burgess purchased property (c) from Henry Coles Brown for £190
