Florence Carter, one of the successful candidates in the election was an ancestor of the depositor. Florence Orrey was born in March in Cambridgeshire in 1873. She married Fred Carter, also of March, in 1898. Fred became a school master in Luton. Fred and Florence had two daughters. Florence died in 1960.
