A handwritten letter from Margaret Waddy (Rector Waddy's wife) to Honora Grimmer: "My dear Norah, Thank you so very much for the really charming card you so kindly sent me for my birthday. I return the envelope with mine and Judy's offerings in it. As Judy is 14, you will know what mine is too!! Has Miss Dumpleton given you her offering? She told me when I asked her for the Mission (and she kept me 2 solid hours!) that she wanted to pay up so I said she must send the money to you. I'm very worried at not having finished my visiting and hoped the Rector would continue .... but he never seems to have time! With renewed thanks for your kind wishes and also for the eggs. Yours affectionately,"
