- Scope and ContentElizabeth, Anne and the three children are all safely arrived at Lady Stuarts. Describes journey from Calais. Mention of Mr [Thomas] Creevey and Lady Glengell. Lord Hardwicke is in good health and considerably better in all respects than last year. He remains at Bounds [Tunbridge] till it is settled when Elizabeth can remove to the sea. Have secured a large house at Ramsgate which will hold Caledons, Stuarts and the writer’s family, but till the doctors declare that Elizabeth is free to move, the writer will not go. She has a slight inflammation and a uselessness in the Knee. Lord Caledons letters from Ireland give a better account of the state of the south.
