Scope and Content
Has just received Lady Bell’s letter of 1 August. Mention of the camp, and of securing lodgings when Lady Bell comes to visit. Describes living quarters ‘our large room has unluckily no exit but through the parlour so that in fine weather our dinner comes through the window…’ ‘Lord Hardwicke has got his regiment into very capital order, a good adjutant has been of great use to him…’
