  • Production date
    From: 1792 To: 1792
  • Scope and Content
Arrangements for visit. Likely to be staying at Wimpole until after Christmas. Comment that family houses are full of workmen. Recent accounts of Lord Dover were better; reference to a ‘dropsical complaint.’ Knows of no news beyond the newspapers. ‘All private letters from every part of the King’s dominions seem to agree in fearing mischief may be raised by turbulent spirits among obscure men – I am sorry that my countrymen seem well inclined to make themselves be talked of, by their meetings and associations.’ ‘My little ones have not suffered at all by their coming to Wimpole at this late season; they had colds in London which have rather received benefit by the change of air.’
