  • Scope and Content
A handwritten letter, on Girl Guides headed paper, from A E Kenney-Herbert, County Commissioner of Girl Guides Association Bedfordshire to Honora Grimmer dated 8th June 1938: "Dear Miss Grimmer, This is my first chance of writing to thank you more than I can express for all the hard work you pout in to make the Rally go so beautifully smoothly and easily. It meant a great many meetings with Mrs Seebohm beforehand and a really hard time on Monday itself. I am most truly grateful to you. I hope you felt rewarded by the undoubted success it all was. Please thank the B. O. who was with you ath the gate and all helpers you meet from me. I want too to thank you personally for you friendliness to me, it has made everything so happy and easy for me and so encouraging too, my year as C.C. will have been one of the happiest in my life. Bless you and thank you for all you are doing for the Guide Movement, with the true Guide spirit. I do hope you were not quite done in and have managed some rest since. Yours very sincerely and gratefully"
