    Copy of biography (author unknown) written while Honora Grimmer was still alive and working, and reads more like a curriculum vitae. "GRIMMER Miss HONORA PATRICIA ANNIE 3 STATION ROAD, AMPTHILL, BEDFORDSHIRE. TELEPHONE AMPTHILL 3181. BORN 17.3.1900. Educated at BEDFORD HIGH SCHOOL. Teacher at AMPTHILL Church of England School, since 1919. The school is now under different management, and is know as Ampthill County Primary School. Miss Grimmer is senior mistress of the Infants Department. Miss H P A G was one of the first Girl Guides to be enrolled at Ampthill, in 1917. She later became "Tawny Owl", on the formation of the Brownie Pack, and soon afterwards the "Brown Owl", which position she still holds. It is interesting to note that some of the children who are under her influence at School, Church and Brownies are sons and daughters of her earlier pupils. Other activities: Holds certificate for Anti Gas Training, A.R.P. Regulations, dated 17.11.38. Holds certificate for First Aid, British Red Cross, dated 3.1.39. Was called upon by the Medical Officer of Health, to arrange stores for the First Aid post on outbreak of hostilities in September 1939. As a member of the First Aid Post, regularly did voluntary night duty. One of the original members of the Ampthill Nursing Division (which was formed by some of the First Aid Post personnel.) Started Nursing Cadet Division in the Spring of 1944. Promoted to Area Cadet Officer (Northern) November 1948. Became County Cadet Officer, March 1955. Superintendent of St. Andrew's Parish Church Sunday School for many years. District Visitor of the Parish Church, and a representative to the Ruri-Decanal Conference. Conducts a bible class at the Church on Sundays for Boys and Girls over 12 years of age."
