Writer has not been well, though a little recovered. Grateful for Countess de Grey's interesting letters. Reference to Mary Beauchamp [niece] suffering from consumption. Mention of the health of Miss Mary Anne Yorke 'it is a great pity that she has been so indulged in indolence and improper hours, but I hope that is not the case with the younger girl' Writer was pleased to hear of Miss Waddington's marriage. [Mary Agnes Waddington, granddaughter of James Yorke, bishop of Ely, whose daughter Margaret was married to Thomas Waddington. Mary Agnes married John Harcourt Powell in July 1820]. Wonders about the date for the coronation [of George IV]. Mention of books.
