    (I) Conveyance of 12 October 1908 Parties: (i) Arthur Richard Bird of Luton, straw plait merchant; Benjamin Belgrove Franklin of Luton, surveyor; Frederick Linger of Luton, draper; (ii) John Pickering of Park Road, Luton, builder; George Linger of Park Road, Luton, builder Reciting: - (V) in X948/2/LU23/1 Operative Part: - (i) conveyed (a)-(b) to (ii) for £302/15/8 Property [as shown on included plan]: (a) land in Luton bounded: NW by newly laid-out road called Granville Road with frontage of 100 feet; SW by Dallow Road measuring 89 feet; SE by other land of John Pickering and George Linger and by land of Thomas Allen and measuring 100 feet; NE by other land of Arthur Richard Bird, Benjamin Belgrove Franklin and Frederick Linger agreed to be sold to Oliver William Dunham and measuring 89 feet - contains 32 poles, 22 yards; (b) land with frontage to Dallow Road of 2 feet, 9 inches bounded: NW by (a) and measuring 90 feet; NE by land of Thomas Allen and measuring 2 feet 9 inches; SE by other land of John Pickering and George Linger Covenant: - by (ii) to observe schedule Schedule: - (ii) within three months to erect fence of at least 5 feet height along NE side; - (ii) to observe building line and not to erect any building of greater height than 5 feet (except bay windows and porches) between building line and road and to erect fence fronting road until the land was built on; - (ii) not to erect hotel, public house, tavern for sale of beer, wines and spirits on of off the premises or property carrying on any obnoxious or offensive trade or business; - (ii) to pay fair share of maintaining Granville Road until taken over by the local authority; - (ii) not to erect any hut, shed, caravan etc, advertisement hoarding, booth, show, swing or roundabout (II) Agreement of 6 April 1908 Parties: (i) Mayor, aldermen and burgesses of Borough of Luton acting as sanitary authority; (ii) George Linger of Park Street, Luton Reciting: - (ii) owned premises in schedule; - (ii) wanted to lay a common drain at the back of several messuages connecting with (i)’s sewer under Granville Road; - on completion the common drain would vest in (i) under Public Health Act 1875 Operative Part: - (ii) covenanted to build common drain to (i)’s specifications; - (i) covenanted with (ii) to allow common drain to be connected with (i)’s sewer; - (ii) covenanted to indemnify (i) against costs of repair and cleaning common drain; - covenant by (ii)that on sale he would procure the purchaser to enter into covenants with (i) and himself in terms of above clause with default fine of £20 Schedule: - six dwelling houses in Dallow Road and Granville Road, Luton shown on plan 6267 deposited with Borough Engineer
