    (I) will of John Sambrook Crawley of 20 May 1882 devising real estate to the intent that his wife Sarah Bridget receive an annual rent charge of £700 and to the use of William James Farrer and William Joseph Jarrett for 500 years from the date of his death as trustees to the use of testator’s eldest son Francis for his life and after his death to use of his first or every son successively according to seniority in tail male, to the use of his first and every daughter; with power for trustees to sell; appointing his son Francis as sole executor (II) death of John Sambrook Crawley on 22 September 1895 (III) proof of the will and codicil (19 January 1887) of John Sambrook Crawley in PPR on 177 December 1895 (IV) Conveyance of 27 October 1903 Parties: (i) Francis Crawley of Stockwood near Luton, esquire; (ii) Sir William James Farrer of Sandhurst Lodge, Wellington College [Berkshire]; William Joseph Jarrett of 66 Lincolns Inn Fields [Middlesex], esquire; (iii) Sarah Bridget Crawley of 7 Sloane Street, Chelsea [Middlesex], widow; (iv) Walter George Pryer of Luton, builder Reciting: - (I); - (II); - (III); - (a) formed part of the real estate of John Sambrook Crawley; - (i) was entitled to possession or receipt of rents and profits of (a) for his life; - (i) had agreed sale with (iv) free from tithe rent charge and other incumbrances; - (iii) had agreed to join the conveyance to release her annuity secured on other property of ample value; - (ii) as trustees had agreed to concur with the conveyance to release (a) from term of 500 years Operative Part: - (iv) paid £2,280 to (ii) by direction of (i) and privity of (iii); - (i) granted and conveyed and (iii) released (a) to (iv); - (ii), at request of (i), surrendered and assigned (a) to (iv) in order to extinguish the term of 500 years in (a) Property [as shown on included plan]: (a) land on south side of Dallow Road, Luton containing 4 acres, 23 poles, 24 yards bounded: N by dallow Road with frontage of 230 feet; E by land of various owners and measuring 777 feet; S by land of Francis Crawley and measuring 230 feet; W by land of Francis Crawley and measuring 793 feet - the land formed three plots known as Dollar Field, Eight Acres and The Downs [1316, 1317 and 1318] on Luton tithe apportionment map Covenant: - by (i) to produce scheduled deeds Schedule: - Conveyance of 13 June 1859 (1) Hon Patrick James Herbert Crichton Stuart, John Boyle and William Stuart the younger; (2) John Sambrook Crawley; - deed poll of John Sambrook Crawley of 26 July 1884; - confirmation of 7 August 1884 by Board of Agriculture
