    A typed letter on Sharman & Trethewy headed paper, from their 88 Dunstable Street office, addressed to Miss L M Grimmer at 3 Station Road, Ampthill, dated 14th October 1949 regarding the liquidation of the Flitt Motor Company: "Dear Madam, Flitt Motor Co. Ltd. in Liquidation. As you know the Flitt Motor Company Ltd, is now being wound up by Mr. Pinnock as Liquidator. We will arrange for the final Meeting to take place at 2.30 p.m. on Friday the 21st inst., at our Office. We accordingly enclose herewith a Notice of the Final Meeting, together with an Authority to be signed by yourself and the other Shareholders, authorising the assets to be handed over to your father, Mr. A.E. Grimmer. Would you please sign the Authority where your initials are indicated in pencil, and would you also kindly obtain your mother's signature and also that of Mr. Underwood, Miss H.P.A. Grimmer, and then would you send the document to Mrs. Nightall requesting her to sign it and forward it to Mrs. Bowles for signature, so that it arrives back at this office not later than Wednesday of next week. Yours faithfully," Accompanying the letter is the following document: "FLITT MOTOR COMPANY LIMITED. (MEMBERS VOLUNTARY WINDING UP) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a General Meeting of the Members of the above-named Company will be held at 88 Dunstable Street, Ampthill on Friday the twenty first day of October 1949, at 2.30 o'clock in the afternoon precisely, to recieve the Account of the Liquidator(s) showing how the winding up of the Company has been conducted and its property disposed of; to hear any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator(s); and to pass an Extraordinary Resolution as to the disposal of the books, accounts and documents of the Company. Any Member entitled to attend and vote the above-mentioned Meeting is entitled to appoint a proxy, who need not be a Member of the Company, to attend and vote instead of him. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the Statutory Notice of the above Meeting was duly advertised in the London Gazette of Tuesday, the 20th day of September 1949, pursuant to Section 290 of The Companies Act, 1948.
