  • Scope and Content
    Ronald and Leslie were two of the sons of James Johnstone Haye, a straw manufacturer of Kinacre Hill, Luton. Ronald Johnstone Haye (born 1895 in Bedfordshire) was wounded while serving in World War 1. He married Margaret Dorothy Maher (born Ipswich, Suffolk) in 1926 in New Zealand where he seems to have spent the rest of his life. Margaret died in Australia. Leslie Bowman Haye (born 1900 in Bedfordshire) served in World War 1, part of the time in the RAF. After completing his service and studies he went to Lagos, Nigeria, where he was a Medical Officer. He died there in 1935.
