Scope and Content
A large ruled foolscap book used as a record for the details of the car hire business operated by the Flitt Motor Company between 1946 and 1947. Details recorded included: date; car hired; name of hirer; driver; time out and in; mileage; journey detail and hire fee. Many local Ampthill residents are listed in the book.
From 1954 to 1957 the back of this book was used as an accounts book for the business.
