    Various licences issued to the Flitt Motor Company issued by official authorities to facilitate continued trading under rationing restrictions during World War II and the years afterward: (i) A licence dated 25th June 1945 from the Ministry of Fuel and Power, under the Coal Distribution Order 1943, covering the acquistion and consumption of coal "not exceeding 43cwt" for a period until 30th April 1946 "for other means of cooking and two offices". The licence covers Messrs J E Page Ltd of Ampthill to supply the coal and is signed by Leonard Foster of 3 Church Street, Ampthill as the Local Fuel Overseer. (ii) A licence dated 8th June 1940 from Ampthill Rural and Urban District Councils, under the Fuel and Lighting Order 1939, covering the supply of coal by Messrs John E Page Ltd. Also signed by Leonard Foster. (iii) A licence dated 3 March 1950 under the Coal Distribution Restriction Direction 1949, covering the acquistion of coal until 30th April 1950 and for Messrs J E Page Ltd to supply said fuel. Signed by Leonard Foster.
