- scheme under Endowed Schools Acts approved on 12 August 1885 by which (a) was vested in (ii) as trustees;
- Order of Board of Charity Commissioners for England and Wales of 3 April 1894 authorising (ii) to sell all scheduled land for not less than £1,030

(a) plot of land in Baker Street containing 24 poles bounded: NW by rear pf premises fronting Ashton Road belonging to Thomas Neville and others and measuring 85 feet; SE by part of Luton Hoo Estate and measuring 85 feet; SW by other land of Ashton’s Schools and Almshouse Foundation greed to be sold to Harry Isaac Sell and Henry Impey and measuring 77 feet 9 inches; NE by Baker Street with a frontage of 77 feet
(II) Conveyance of 24 September 1894
Parties:
(i) Harry Isaac Sell and Henry Impey, both of Luton, auctioneers;
(ii) Alfred Day Batson of 10a Liverpool Street, Luton, carpenter and builder;
(iii) Thomas Allen of Ashton Road, Luton, baker
Reciting:
- (I) above;
- (i) had agreed to sell (a) in (I) to iii for £192;
- (ii) then agreed to sell (a) in (I) to (iii) for £200
Operative Part:
- (iii) paid £192 to (i) and £8 to (ii);
- (i), by direction of (ii), conveyed (a) in (I) to (iii)
