- TitleLetter from Agneta Yorke to Amabel, Lady Lucas, sent from Bath. [Typed transcript available]
- Date free text31 May 1816
- Production dateFrom: 1816 To: 1816
- Scope and ContentTrip to Malvern has been of service; the writer is as well in health and spirit as old age and natural infirmities will allow her to be. Believes Mrs Philip Yorke's state of health to be precarious. Please to hear that Lady Lucas' nieces are both in 'a way that women wish to be who love their lords.' Hopes Lady Sarah will now have a son. Mrs Pole Carew is going to produce 'another olive branch'; writer would be glad to hear of some such event in the Sommers family. Writer has been delighted by all she has heard of the royal marriage and subsequent proceedings.[Marriage of Princess Charlotte to Leopold I of Belgium] Hopes the report is true concerning the Princess Mary's marriage with the Duke of Gloucester. Comments regarding theatre and Mr Kemble acting Falstaff.
