    to friend Joseph Atterbury of Middleton Raynes otherwise Milton, Buckinghamshire, yeoman, testator's nephew William Foster of Cranfield, yeoman and his son Edward Foster of the same, carpenter, messuage and or farmhouse at Wood End, Cranfield, in testator's occupation and cottage and garden in occupation of William Beard in George's Close in Cranfield, 8 closes near said farmhouse called George's Close, Home or Long Close, Dovehouse Close, Ten Ley or Peartree Close, two other closes called Peartree Closes and Pullyes Pightle and parcels of land in common fields of Cranfield, viz: - parcel called Thillands, 19 acres - parcel called Jackcroft or Charlcroft, 6 acres - 23 acres in South Side Field - 19 acres on furlong called Weatherside Hill or Willow Slade Hill in Hillipers Field, being 39 lands - 8 lands on Blankridgeway Furlong in Hillipers Field, 3 acres 2 roods, on trust to pay profits to housekeeper Caroline Foster (daughter of said nephew William Foster) for life; trustees to maintain property. After death of said Caroline, trustees to sell and divide profits equally between testator's 11 nephews and nieces, viz: said William Foster, John Foster of Aspley Guise, wheelwright, Joseph Foster of Cranfield, wheelwright, Rebecca (wife of William Goodman of Cranfield, baker) late Foster, spinster, Mary (wife of William Brinkler of Cranfield, dairyman) late Foster, spinster, William Berrill of Little Brickhill, Buckinghamshire, carpenter, John Berrill of Woburn, Bedfordshire, cordwainer, Ann Osborn of Woburn, spinster, Elizabeth wife of --- Tydman lately of 14 Hand Court, Holborn, city of London (daughter of testator's late brother William Paine), Ann Paine, spinster (another daughter of said William) and Mary, wife of James Crouch of Lidlington, yeoman (another daughter of said William) and amongst such children of testator's nephew John Paine, late of Lidlington, horsedealer (by his wife Martha, late Millard, spinster) as shall be living at decease of said Caroline Foster, such children of said John Paine to divide between them only 1/12 part of the said profits - to said Caroline Foster, all household effects, 4 best farming horses, 4 carts, 1 waggon, 3 ploughs, 2 pairs harrows, 4 horse or cow cribs (all to be selected by herself), barn implements, hovel frames with the ladders and crops and produce on the land (excepting produce actually stacked and gotten in) and all manure - to aforesaid trustees, residue of freehold and copyhold estates and of personal estate on trust to convert into money to pay debts and pay following legacies: £500 to nephew William Foster £100 to said Caroline Foster £300 to nephew John Foster £300 to nephew Joseph Foster £300 to niece Rebecca Goodman £300 to niece Mary Brinkler £200 to nephew William Berrill £300 to nephew John Berrill £300 to niece Ann Osborn £300 to niece Elizabeth Tydman £300 to niece Ann Paine £400 to niece Mary Crouch £200 to Sarah May, spinster daughter of Ann, wife of John Parsons of Haynes, labourer at age of 21, interest meantime to be applied to her maintenance and education £30 to said Ann Parsons £200 to said Edward Foster £100 to John Foster (another son of said nephew, William Foster) £100 to sister Susannah, wife of Benjamin Foster of Cranfield, wheelwright £100 to sister Martha Mayhew of Cranfield, widow £200 to testator's farming servant, William Daniel of Cranfield, labourer £200 to Sarah, wife of Turland Willis, labourer now residing in London or somewhere in the neighbourhood thereof £200 to said Joseph Atterbury £400 to be placed out at interest and profits devoted to maintenance and education of children of nephew John Paine by wife Martha, late Millard, spinster; each child to receive equal share of the £400 on reaching majority - said trustees and also Caroline Foster executors dated 5 Dec 1835 witnesses: John D Ayers, lace manufacturer, Newport Pagnell George Cooch, attorney at law, Newport Pagnell, Robert Cooch, his clerk Codicil open field land was estate of testator's father William Paine; parish now enclosed. now devises allotments in lieu of said open field land. If any of the 11 nephews and nieces die leaving children, then they are to have share of their parent. Also to said Caroline Foster, 20 ewes, 20 tegs or shearhog sheep and 8 bullocks worth at least £10 each and also £500 stock 3½% reduced, now standing in joint names of testator and said Caroline following legacies to be paid out of residuary estates: £400 to Thomas Foster, son of nephew William Foster £300 to Joseph Foster, another son of said William £200 to Mary Paine Atterbury, wife of Thomas Atterbury of Woburn £500 to niece Ann Osborn instead of legacy of £300 bequeathed to her by the will dated 22 Mar 1841 witnesses: George Cooch, Robert Cooch extracted by Townsend and Robarts, Proctors, Doctors Commons probate: Prerogative Court of Canterbury 25 May 1841
