i) Thomas Crane ii) Mr Robert Perrott, Newport Pagnell copy of letter from i) to Mr Gill: has lately received letter from ii) with copy of proposal from recipient - i) has made calculation of "our affair", if he had considered this recipient would not have asked us for 50 guineas to do us justice: hopes law will do it cheaper than that as we can lay hands on house at Newport and all personalty; you will be well paid for joining in the sale - if not, we will join Buckinghamshire party in filing a bill; as soon as you give security Mr Hurst thinks sufficient to join sale, will find purchasers - we shall be punished for your father's mismanagement. notes at bottom, for ii): this is copy of letter to Gill; he certainly waits for sale of estate that he may make his demands accordingly Melton 31 Dec 1759 account of money paid and received refers to trustees of Dr Radcliffe, Wigtoft estate and Swineshead estate; shows probable loss of £663 1755-8
