Recites: -Will of Hon John Crichton Stuart, Marquess of Bute. - Death of John Crichton Stuart 18 Mach 1848. - changes to trustees of the will - auction of certain pieces of land by 1) including lot 44. In consideration of £410 paid by 2) to 1), 1) conveys to 2) - 1 acre, 1 rood 35 poles called or known as Upper Pondwick's Gardens bounded on the north west north east and south east by land belonging to the trustees of Frances Ashton's Charity and on the south west side by the Hertford, Luton and Dunstable Branch of the Great Northern Railway. Now or late in the occupation of: Hugh Gunn, Charles Jones, Henry Walker Brundon, George Rutland, William Mardle, Charles Brown, Thomas Brown, George Simms and Samuel Ebbs. And also all that way or road of the breadth of 12 feet leading from the south west side of the land over and across the railway into the Pondwicks Road. Plan.
