- TitleInformation of Susan Odell, Clophill: left Maulden Methodist Chapel with her sister and William Brachley for home. A quarter of a mile from home they were met by seven young men of whom she knows only James Phillips, Thomas Woodcraft and William Randall, all of Haynes. They were all roughly handled and threatened, and she lost an India silk handkerchief. Information of Sarah Odell: similar to her sister's; she lost a worked collar. Information of William Brachley: after being struck several times he ran off to Thomas Wilshere's house. Went back with Wilshere and a lantern to look for his hat. Was again threatened, but Wilshere prevented a fight. Examination of Phillips, Woodcraft and Randall: deny interfering with the persons named.
