    i) William Cockman, Bedford, tyler ii) Thomas Arnold alias Cooper, Bedford, gentleman John Abbutt alias Phillips senior, Bedford, butcher Amy Cockman, the wife of William Cockman Reciting Demise for 1000 years by William Watmough of Bedford, scrivener, to i) on 24 March 1634/5 of: ... messuage, cottage or tenement with yard and appurtenances in Bedford St Paul in Angell Street, between cottage and ground then of William Watmough, now of Richard Cooper, last-maker, North, and tenement and ground of Jacob Lawrence, gentleman, South, abutting West on ground then of Thomas Skelton and East on Angell Street, with two foot of ground from the grunsell of the house standing in the yard on the North side thereof and twenty foot in length from the grunsell of the other "roometh" of the said tenement standing cross next to the street downward for an evesdropping to be fenced out at a rent of £5 for the first 7 years and subsequently at a peppercorn rent, and Reciting that i) wishes to make a settlement on Amy his wife Conveyance by i) to Thomas Arnold and John Abbutt of premises to hold after the death of i) to the use of his wife and heirs male, in default to heirs female, with other uses witnesses: John Osmond, Richard Cooper, William Watmough the scrivener
