    Reference to an accident that befell Lady Grey, hopes she is recovering. Mr & Mrs Charles Yorke (son) have been staying; they leave Wednesday next, to make room for the Eliots (daughter & son in law), who are calling in on their way to London. Captain Yorke (son) has had a month at home, but leaves tonight for Guernsey in pursuit of a smuggler called Morgan Rattler. Mention of the delicate constitution of Harriet Yorke. Lord Balcarres had ruined himself at the gaming table, or at least lost so much money as to be under the necessity of selling his family house and estate, which has been purchased by a younger brother who made a large fourune in the East Indies.
