    In the name of God Amen the fift (fifth) day of July Ano Domi (anno domini) 1683 I Henry Hulot of Turvey in the County of Bedford cartpinter (carpenter) being in pfect (perfect) sense and memory thankes (thanks) be given to God therefore calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to dye (die), do make and ordaine (ordain) this my last will and testament in maner (manner) and form folliwing (that is to say) first and principally I give my soule (soul) into the hands of Almighty God who gave it me, and my body I comit (commit) to the earth to be buryed (buried) in decent and Christian manner at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named. And such worldly goods which it hath pleased God to bless me withall in this life I give, devise, bequeath and dispose the same in manner and forme (form) following. Imp (imprimis) I give and bequeath unto my cosan (cousin) Robert Hulot the sume (sum) of five pounds of lawfull (lawful) English money. Item I give and bequeath unto Henry Hulot son of the aforesaid Robert Hulot the sume (sum) of five pounds of lawfull (lawful) English money. I give unto my brother William Hulot the sum of one shilling. I give unto my sister Ann Waltrop the sum of one shilling. I give unto my sister Dorothy Wooden the sum of one shilling. Item I give and bequeath unto all my brothers and sisters children the sume (sum) of one shilling a peece (piece). Item I give and bequeath unto my cosan (cousin) Mary Cox the sume (sum) of ten pounds of lawfull (lawful) English money. Item all the rest of my houses leases lands tenements bills bonds debts ready money chattell (chattel) and chattells and goods whatsoever I doe (do) give and bequeath unto Mary my wife and my will is that she pay all my debts and legacyes (legacies) and I doe (do) make and ordaine (ordain) her full and whole Executrix of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written.
