File containing a series of statistical returns from Bedfordshire for Department of the Environment national gipsy caravan census. The statistics represent a count of gipsy caravans taken at six monthly intervals in January and July. The study is divided into districts within Bedfordshire and lists the name of the official or unofficial location of the gipsy site. The analysis also includes the following information: number of caravans; number of families; number of gipsies; age group of children and remarks e.g. “private land” or “bridleway”. Figures are then collated from each council district to depict the total number of caravans in Bedfordshire and distribution of sites, divided into: Official sites; Roadside; Private land; Bridleway and Council Land.
