If it is not and the sum mentioned by Lady Lucas is required, it shall be advanced and the writer will send a clerk with him. Purchase of Mr. Williamson's estate; Lord Grantham was informed that it could not be had without some sacrifice, probably £200 in excess of price; but thought it advisable to make the purchase. The writer does not know the present rent - Mr Thorpe is of the opinion that it is worth to be let at £105 per annum, subject to a deduction for land tax. There is sometimber on the estate with a value of about £150.
