    Parties: (i) Anne Godfrey and Mary Godfrey of Bishop’s Stortford [Hertfordshire], spinsters; (ii)Thomas Botterell of Arlesey, yeoman Operative Part: - (i) leased (a) to (ii) Property: (a) farm of 150 acres of arable, and 40 acres of meadow and pasture in Arlesey formerly in the occupation of Francis Patten Habendum: - to (ii) for 12 years at a rent of £75 per annum Witnesses: - Nathaniel Jennings; - John Topham Indorsed with memorandum of 4 July 1757 in which Thomas Botterel [signs by mark] surrendered the lease and was granted a new lease of 12 years so that he could benefit from sowing Bush Close with sanfoin grass; witnesses by Christopher Lofft and Nathaniel Jennings Indorsed with surrender of lease by Thomas Botterel [signs by mark] on 17 April 1776 witnessed by Christopher Lofft and Trimer Robinson
