- Scope and ContentReciting: - (i) were heirs at law of Edward Lawndey of Baldock, gentleman and Edward Lawndey Godfrey his great grandson and their brother and claimed title to the property in Arlesey as well as property in High Street, Baldock in occupation of Thomas Crouch or which they had brought ejectment proceedings Operative Part: - (i) and (ii) agreed to halt the ejectment proceedings without costs to either side; - Margaret Sparhauke would pay £1,100 equally between Anne and Mary Godfrey; - Margaret Sparhauke covenanted to offer up a bond for cancellation of 28 June 1716 made by John Godfrey, late father of Anne and Mary in penalty of £2,000 and would release all property in Arlesey; - Anne and Mary Godfrey, on payment of £1,100 covenanted to release to Margaret Sparhauke (a) messuage and lands of 107 acres formerly known as Filewoods Farm in Rushden [Hertfordshire] in occupation of John Parker and Margaret Sparhauke; (b) messuage in High Street, Baldock with messuage late of William Goodwyn on S, now part of the premises which was recently erected by William Sparhauke and now occupied by Margaret Sparhauke; (c) Baker’s Close of pasture in Great Offley [Hertfordshire] adjoining property formerly in the occupation of Edward Foster and containing 3 acres; (d) cottage and close of pasture, lands and tithes in Pulloxhill late estate of Edward Lawndey now in occupation of Jepps at annual rent of £7 Witnesses: - William Barker; - Isaac Wilkinson
