    i) Elizabeth Marks of parish of St Peter, Bedford, widow and devisee of Edward Marks, and Thomas Groves of same parish, tailor, son of William Groves, deceased, also devisee of Edward (see X199/4) ii) Elizabeth Stiles of parish of St Mary, spinster iii) Anthony Peacock of parish of St Peter, carpenter ... a messuage in Lime Kiln Lane, parish of St Peter, late in occupation of Edward, now in occupation of i) ... a messuage in Duck Lane parish of St Paul, in occupation of Thomas Wales both to the use of ii) for 500 years, then: the messuage first described to the use of Elizabeth Marks for life, then of Thomas Groves the messuage last described to the use of Elizabeth Marks for life, then of Anthony Peacock for 1,000 years, in trust to raise by mortgage or sale of said term or otherwise the sum of £6 each to be paid to William, Edward and Samuel Groves, brothers of Thomas, after one year from the death of Elizabeth, then of Thomas Groves The term to be void if Thomas should within one year of the death of Elizabeth pay the said sums to his said brothers witnesses: Thomas Cawne, attorney, James Borestrill, his servant
