Sends account of the sale of reduced annuities to raise £1,000. [Not present]. They are 4% higher than when purchased. The writer will ensure that £800 is paid to the commissioners. Will make enquiry regarding Mr Morton's mortgage. Will attend to Lady Lucas' desire that a compromise with Mr Nethersole should take place. The Duke of Devonshire, through Mr Heaton, consents that interest should be paid in January and July.
