    Parties: (i) William Alington of Little Barford, esquire; (ii) Thomas Widdows of Hitchin [Hertfordshire], gentleman Reciting: - AN29/85-86; - the marriage was duly solemnised; - AN23/101; - will of John Williamson of 21 January 1827 devising all real estate in Sandon, Rushden and Bygrave [Hertfordshire] in the same manner as that in Little Barford; - death of John Williamson on 4 July 1830 and proof of his will in PCC on 26 July 1830; - death of Eliza Frances Alington on 21 June 1838; - 11 acres, 9 perches in Bygrave were sold on 8 August 1850 to Royston and Hitchin Railway Company; on 19 November 1851 15 acres, 2 roods, 20 perches in Little Barford were sold to Great Northern Railway Company; - John and Eliza Frances Alington had eight children: John the eldest son, (i) the second son, and six others; - death of John Alington on 23 December 1845 unmarried; - (i) became 21 on 5 April 1847; - death of John Alington the father on 11 December 1863 Operative Part: - in order to defeat the estates tail of (i), (i) granted all land in AN23/86 and AN23/101 except those parcels sold to the two railway companies to (ii) absolutely discharged from all estates in tail but subject to uses appointed by (i) Witnesses: - William Hawkins of Hitchin; - Mary Alington of Little Barford; - John Hawkins of Hitchin Endorsement: “This Deed is by Indenture dated 17th September 1872 covenanted to be produced to Miss Louisa Mary Pryor of Baldock, Herts. By Indenture dated September 1872 covenanted to be produced to [James Walter Grimston, 2nd] Earl of Verulam and Richard Nicholson, Lord Salisbury’s Trustees. By Indenture dated 1st October 1872 covenanted to be produced to Mr Hugh Rayner of Wallington, Herts. By Indenture dated 17th September 1872 covenanted to be produced to Messrs Joseph Ingle Ellis of Thriplow, Cams, and William Ellis of Melbourn, Cams”.
