    that on the 2nd November 1858 the sum of £495 (being the sum of £500 minus £5 for Legacy Duty at 1 percent) was indented in the purchase of £503.16.4 Consols in the names of Dr Ogilvie & Mr Yalden being the Executors of Sir Thomas Plumer. The £500 being the sum required to make up the within mentioned sum of £10,000 [see AN23/3] Reduced Stock equal to so much Sterling as directed by Sir Thomas Plumer’s Will” “The Will dated 18 October 1822” “Sir Thomas died 25 March 1822” “The will proved 27 April 1824 at Doctors Commons by Henry Hobhouse and Thomas Hall Plumer” “Note. The Transfer of the £10,000 Reduced was not in fact made into the names of Dr Ogilvie and Mr Yalden till 11 March 1859 and was then made by Messrs Dinsdale & Co 9 Cornhill and Power of Attorney for receiving the Dividends on both sums was granted to them with directions to pay them to the Rev John Alington”
