- TitleInformation of William Green of Sutton, agent to Sir John Burgoyne, Sutton Park: with William Tear of Potton, constable, David Brown and Thomas Kefford, labourers, searched the premises of James Stonebridge of Potton, blacksmith, where he found iron fencing posts stolen out of the Park. Suspecting Thomas Lincoln of stealing them, he had him arrested. Information of Lewis Stonebridge: Lincoln came to his father's shop to pay for a hoe. He propsed paying for it with the fencing posts, but his father allowed him 1 shilling more for the posts, 6d of which he gave him then. Later the constable came with a search warrant and took the posts away. Asked whether he brought the posts out of his father's hovel from underneath some turf he denied it.
