“Madam, pray pay to Henry Bromfield of the Inner Temple, London, Gent, the sum of Two Thousand Eight hundred pounds which Is the consideration money mentioned to be paid by you to me in an Indenture of Assignment and Mortgage of five parts dated or intended to bear date the fifth day of February now next ensuing and made or mentioned to be made between William Farrer Esqr of the first part, myself of the second part, John Lee Esqr and Mary his wife of the third part, The Right Honorable Sir George Lee Knt of the fourth part, and yourself of the fifth part. And the receipt of the said Henry Bromfield shall be your sufficient discharge for the same” witnessed by Thomas and Joseph Bishop; with receipt of 5 February 1757 given by Henry Bromfield witnesses by Walter Gibbons and Thomas Middleton “The £2800 was pd by Mrs St John to Mr Bromfield in Bank Notes”
