- Scope and ContentCharles Yorke has executed the deed, which has now been sent to Mr Douglas for signature. In the meantime, Mr Heaton has given authority for Ware to receive the exchequer bill from the banker, which he will make use of as soon as the deed is received. The Duke of Devonshire is to be paid Lady Lucas' proportion of the dower paid by his Grace for the £20,000 of which the £6,000 is part. The Duke paid £450 which entitles him to a reimbursement of £135. Encloses Mr Heaton's bill for the mortgage deeds stamps which is usual to pay at the time of receiving the mortgage money. [Not present] Mr Ware saw Mr Pym, who sends his compliments to Lady Lucas.
