- Production dateFrom: 1807 To: 1807
- Scope and ContentEncloses letter from Mr Chesterton which was sent by Mr Bowman [not present]. Chesterton is house steward to Lord Bradford at Weston on Staffordshire. The writer has seen Mr Lord; his profession is that of a teacher of music. Though the writer has references to satisfy him that Lord is a respectable man, 'his opinion of Mr Bowles as to his fitness for such a situation as that of a house-steward cannot be worth much.' The late Mr Loader's estate is at Hinton, near Farringdon and the Rev Symonds of that place is one of his executors. As Loader kept fox-hounds, he was probably well known. Mr Bowles is at present at Hinton; if Lady Lucas 'should think this introduction deserves further enquiry' then Ware will write to him.
