- Scope and ContentThanks Lady Lucas for hare and brace of partridges. 'Mr Lewis's solicitor informs me that persons who have a mortgage on the estate decline at present to receive their mortgage money; they wait until they have found another satisfactory security. It is probable the money will not be wanted before Mr [Frederick John] Robinson attains 21, and I have this day mentioned to Mr Charles Hoare the uncertainty we are in. There will be no occasion to take up the money before it is wanted. A few days notice will be sufficient which I shall be able to give.'
