    - presenting Abel Clinton, late of Paul’s Walden [Hertfordshire], tanner held 16 acres of arable in the common fields of Stotfold formerly in occupation of John Nightingale, then Thomas Nightingale, lately William Pateman, and close of pasture, formerly two closes, with dovecote built thereon and close of meadow of four acres adjoining in Stotfold formerly in the occupation of John Lund, then Thomas Nightingale, lately William Pateman - charged with payment of an annuity of £14 to Ann Clinton for her life; - to which Abel Clinton surrendered on 25 April 1715 to the use of his will - presentment in court by Robert Chipperfield of Paul’s Walden, yeoman and Tabitha, his wife (née Tabitha Clinton) of indenture of 24 October 1727 of between (1) Edmund Sawyer, John Roberts, esquire and Joseph Mason, gentleman and (2) Daniel Wellingham senior of Saint Paul’s Walden, tanner and Tabitha Clinton, two creditors of Abel Clinton; reciting award of bankruptcy of 13 July 1727 against Abel Clinton directing (1) as well as Henry Bendish and William Tullie as commissioners in bankruptcy; reciting that Abel Clinton was indebted to (2) and others for £300 or more making him a bankrupt; Abel Clinton, through the will of his father, Abel Clinton, deceased held two copyhold estates - (a) messuage, yard, meadow called Rosebridge Mead of one acre and a piece of pasture called The Wick of one rood in Whitwell [Hertfordshire] in occupation of Abel Clinton; (b) 16 acres of arable in common fields of Stotfold in occupation of Nightingale and a close of pasture, previously two closes, in Stotfold with a dovehouse built on it and piece of meadow adjoining of four acres in occupation of Nightinghall subject to payment of an annuity of £14 to Judith [sic], mother of Abel Clinton, for life; (1) assigned the property in Whitwell and Stotfold to (2) in trust for themselves and other creditors of Abel Clinton; - presenting death of Ann Clinton, mother of Abel Clinton, on 1 February 1727 [1728] and death of Daniel Wellingham, who was survived by Tabitha Clinton; - presenting admission of Tabitha Clinton to the land in Stotfold; - surrender by Robert Chipperfield and Tabitha, his wife, of the land in Stotfold to the use of William Pateman of Arlesey, butcher who was admitted
