    Parties: (i) Mary Freshwater of Great Barford widow of John Freshwater of Great Barford, carpenter who was son of John and Jane Freshwater; William Freshwater of Great Barford, carpenter and Ann Freshwater of Great Barford, spinster, younger children of John senior and Jane; (ii) William Pedly of Great Barford, gentleman; (iii) Matthew Pedly of Great Barford, gentleman Reciting: - AN19/5; - John Freshwater junior died intestate soon after his father and Jane Freshwater was also dead; - the legacies to William and Ann Freshwater remained unpaid and, with the consent of Mary Freshwater ( mother and guardian of John Freshwater, aged 12) they entered (a)-(j) of John Freshwater, deceased in order to sell it to pay their legacies, they “earnestly requesting” (iii) to purchase it with the consent of Mary Freshwater - price agreed £42/17/6; - (ii), at request of Mary Freshwater, had agreed to release (a)-(j) from payment of the £40 mortgage at AN19/3 Operative Part: - (iii) paid £20 to William Freshwater, £20 to Ann Freshwater and £2/17/6 to Mary Freshwater for the use of John Freshwater; - (iii) paid 5/- to (ii); - William Freshwater and Ann Freshwater, with the consent of Mary Freshwater released and confirmed and Mary Freshwater released and confirmed and (ii), at the request of Mary Freshwater released (a)-(j) to (iii) Property: (a) four lands containing 1½ acres in Hither North Field next Birch Field; (b) three lands in Little Field in Thumbwell containing 1 acre, 2 roods; (c) one land in the Bouse next Roxton containing 1½ roods; (d) land upon the hill in Lower Furlong containing 1 rood; (e) land in Botts Furlong next Hairins in Mill Field containing 1 rood; (f) land in Lower Clays containing 2 roods; (g) land in Highway Furlong containing 1 acre; (h) two butts nearest New Close containing 1 rood; (i) one land at the top of Orchard Piece containing 1 rood; (j) one land at the upper end of the half acre Highway Furlong abutting NW on highway containing 1 rood Witnesses: - William King; - Samuel Luke Mary and Ann Freshwater signed by mark
