Scope and Content
Parties:
(i) Rev John Garthorne and Elizabeth, his wife and Mrs Beatrix Ridges;
(ii) William Field of Renhold, mason
Operative Part:
- (i) demised to (ii) the following property at Great Barford (a) three closes in occupation of John Willis and called Crecus Wood except all timber, trees, lops and tops of trees other than pollards from Michaelmas 1735 yearly so long as both parties agreed at rent of £25 per annum and £5 per annum for every acre of pasture ploughed up without agreement of (i);
- (i) before 1st March to allow (ii) sufficient rough timber to make four new gates;
- (i) to allow (ii) 40/- towards making the gates;
- (i) to allow (ii) 20/- to make a brick bridge into Wood Field, Renhold;
-(i) to allow (ii) 20/- to clean drains;
- (i) to allow (ii) 20/- to make a pond for the three closes with three mouths, one from each close;
- (ii) allowed to cut and use a ninth of wood from hedges and bushes
