- Scope and ContentTypewritten letter from John Queenborough, Editor of The Garage & Motor Agent to A E Grimmer Esq at Station Road, Ampthill dated 21st May 1954: Dear Mr. Grimmer, I have just heard from Mr. A. G. Saxty of Sunningdale Motors Ltd., London Road, Sunnindale, Berks. about your Anzani query, and his letter will appear in our May 29th issue. Enclosed with his letter was a copy of "Flight" for May 11th 1912, and in it is a description of the Caudron Monoplane, which had an Anzani engine. I am passing on the journal to you, so that you can read the article, and I know that is is unnecessary to ask you to treat in gently and return it to him when you have finished with it. As I was dictating this letter, your note arrived acknowledging the receipt of the French book. Thanks. But don't trouble to acknowledge this one, because it is registered, and I know you will get it. And that reminds me. I hope you won't be upset if I return the stamps which you kindly sent. I do appreciate your thoughtfulness, I can assure you, but the point is you are a reader and therefore entitled to the service that we try to give. This is quite fair, because you must remember that you have already done your part by writing the letter which has proved to be so interesting to other readers. And so you have five daughters. What a lucky man you are. No wonder you find such zest in life. But whatever do you want with builders? Can't you act as foreman to your daughters, and get them to do the work? Kind regards, Yours sincerely, John Queenborough"
