    Probate: P.C.C. of will of Sir Peter Payne, late of Blunham House bt. to Charles Barnett and William Augustus Orlebar, esqs, executors. Sworn under £3000 Will: Sir Peter Payne of Blunham House, baronet - freehold and copyhold estates in or near blunham to Charles Barnett of Stratton Park esquire and William Augustus Orlebar of Hinwick Hall esquire in trust to sell; untll sale may lease, receive profits etc. -from proceeds may £1,859.16.2 owing by testator to Samuel Edward Steward esquire. (trustee of marriage articles) and any costs due to same as mortgagee of Blunham estate. -also pay £1,500 owing to son-in-law Charles Barnett esquire secured by bond and title deeds -residue from sale to daughter Laura Janet Payne -by Marriage Articles 25 August 1789 on marriage with wife Dame Elizabeth Sarah Payne, deceased testator has power to appoint shares in Birmingham Canal Navigation or money from sale thereof, to thier children and has advanced son Henry Robert Payne from sale or mortgages of same money equivalent to 8 new shares in same therefore does not appoint more to him -on marriage of daughter Elizabeth with Charles Barnett appointed to her 4 then shares (equal to 8 of new shares) and 8 new shares to daughter Emma Isabella on marriage with James Elsden Everard esquire. - now appoints that trustees shall possess 16 new shares, 8 in trust for daughter Maria Mary wife of Joseph Webster esquire and 8 for daughter Laura Janet Payne. -rent charge if £400 per annum from sugar plantation and estate called Sandy Point in Island of St Christopher in West Indies and all other real, leasehold of personal estate over which testator has power of disposition (except Blunham estate) to executors in trust to sell; money to be held on trusts, viz. to pay debts except those above charged on Blunham estate and debt of £1,000 and interest secured to Roger William Gem esquire by bond of 10 February 1826 and a transfer of 4 (now 8) of said canal shares which sum was raised for benefit of daughter Elizabeth and her husband Charles Barnett and ought to be repaid out of said shares; and to divide residue between daughters Maria Mary Webster, Laura Janet Payne, Elizabeth Barnett and Emma Isabella Everard* and son Robert Henley Payne equally, yet share of * to be lesss that shares of said other younger children by same amount by which here entire share in the £2,000 settled by testator's aforesaid marriage articles shall exceed shares of other 4 children in said trust fund. -has endeavoured to make fairest distribution amoungst children while complying with covenants in marriage settlements of daughters Elizabeth Barnett and Emma Isabella Everard by which testator is to appoint to each a portion of funds subject to trusts of his marriage articles and £5,000 since provided for portions of his younger children; hopes children will consider th £5,000 provided by testator for thier portions in 1825 ample satisfaction for the shares which have been sold. -appoints Charles Barnett and William Augustus Orelbar executors witnesses: Theed Pearse, junior, solicitor, Bedford John Wildman, servant to Sir Peter Payne dated: 4 December 1841
