  • Scope and Content
Sends Mr Mourgue's receipt and the deputation to Mr Green for the Manor of Fordham Hall. Mr Rebow is desirous that his bailiff should have the deputation for the Manor of Greenstead instead of that granted to himself, as his bailiff is better qualified to preserve the game, and Mr Firmin informs that Mr Wright of Shenfield who has the deputation for that Manor, has intimated a similar inclination but has not made a direct application. In the latter case, the change would not be agreeable to Charles Clay junior, Lady Lucas' tenant, as Mr Wright's bailiff is said to be a troublesome man. If Mr Wright should decline the deputation, Charles Clay junior would be glad of it.
